Prep time - 2 hrs and 15 mins (including the sitting time)
Cook time - 20 mins
Makes - 6 to 8 dosas
- Wheat flour - 1 cup
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Ginger - 1 tsp(finely chopped)
- Coriander leaves - 5 to 6 sprigs (finely chopped)
- Green chilies - 3 (finely chopped)
- Onion - 1/4 small (finely chopped - optional)
- Salt - to taste
- Water - as required
- Oil - as required
Method:
- Mix wheat flour, rice flour, salt and water without any lumps.
- The batter should be of watery consistency.
- Add cumin seeds, ginger, green chilies, coriander leaves, onions and mix everything well.
- Keep the batter aside for 2 hrs.
- Heat the dosa pan. Once the pan is hot, apply some oil and pour the batter as thin as u can.
- Once it becomes golden brown on one side, flip it over and cook both the sides.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
Note:
You can make this dosa only with wheat flour, rice flour and cumin seeds omitting all the other items if u like it plain.
